What is Psychotherapy?

Joy of life is always accompanied by pain, and there are times that you feel beaten and defeated. Psychological symptoms can surface and compromise your happiness and functioning during these struggles. Therapy can help you to stay on the right track or find the right directions to minimize unnecessary sufferings.

How Does it work?

1. Exploring

What is therapy? 1. Exploring

We will explore how your pain started and how you have been coping with it.  It will tell us the reason of your suffering and what went wrong. This is the first step of our journey.

2. Skill Building

What is therapy? 2. Skill Building

Now things are clear, we will add skills (communication, planning, relationship, parenting, emotional regulation, and problem solving skills) that can help you reduce pain and suffering in life.

3. Healing

4. Challenging

What is therapy? 3. Healing

While discovering self and implementing new skills/mindset, there will be positive waves of feelings. We will sit in this gentle wave and celebrate our journey towards happiness.

You may set new goals and  encounter new challenges. This is good time to practice skills, make mistakes, revise, and reapproach.

What is therapy? 5. Improving

After some fluctuations (usually, there are cycles of ups and downs), you will notice things are gradually improving around you. We will review all gains/mistakes and prepare for potential hurdles in the future.

This is time to talk about ending therapy.  We will discuss what we achieved and how to continue your journey independently. I will be within a reachable distance in case  you need support.
